Anaekwe Gideon Kodir
Chief Executive Officer
Anaekwe Gideon Kodir, the Chief Executive Officer of Honours Intercontinental Concept Ltd., is a visionary leader at the helm of a company celebrated for its expertise in the sale and refurbishment of tractors, alongside the distribution of high-quality spare parts. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to excellence have played a significant role in establishing the company as a trusted name in the industry. Beyond his business endeavors, Mr. Anaekwe is also recognized for his remarkable athletic background as a distinguished former baseball player, having showcased his talent during the 1991 season. His experience on the field bestowed upon him valuable insights into sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership, which he has seamlessly transitioned into his professional life. In addition to his role at Honours Intercontinental, Mr. Anaekwe serves as the CEO of Honours Sports International Foundation, an organization committed to the development of sports and athletes within the community. Under his dynamic leadership, the Foundation proudly launched the Honours Independent National Baseball League, a groundbreaking initiative that marks a significant milestone in Nigeria's baseball landscape. This league represents the first of its kind in the country, providing a platform for aspiring players to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. Furthermore, the Foundation has made substantial strides in supporting young athletes through its scholarship program. By issuing scholarships to talented individuals in the academy, Mr. Anaekwe and his team are investing in the future of sports in Nigeria, nurturing the next generation of champions. Their commitment to education and athletic development is not only fostering talent but also inspiring a sense of hope and opportunity among aspiring athletes across the nation. Adeyinka Adewusi
Executive Director
Adeyinka Adewusi is a distinguished Nigerian baseball player, coach, and sports administrator hailing from Ilorin, Kwara State. Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the growth and development of baseball in Nigeria and across Africa, Adewusi's career spans decades of exceptional contributions both on and off the field. As a player, Adewusi represented Nigeria with pride and excellence at the 1999 and 2003 All-Africa Games, where he played a pivotal role in helping the national team secure silver medals at both tournaments. His outstanding skill, discipline, and leadership made him a key figure in the team's success. Adewusi's professional career extended beyond the continent, as he competed in South Africa and Sweden's top baseball leagues, earning acclaim for his powerful batting, defensive versatility, and deep understanding of the game. After hanging up his cleats, Adewusi transitioned seamlessly into coaching and sports development. Driven by a passion for youth empowerment through sports, he founded the Angels Youth Baseball Factory, an academy dedicated to identifying, training, and mentoring young baseball talents across Nigeria. Through this initiative, many young athletes have gained exposure, skill development, and access to international opportunities. His impact extended to the global stage through his roles as a Major League Baseball International (MLBI) consultant for West Africa and a scout for the Major League Scouting Bureau (MLSB), where he helped identify and nurture African talents with the potential to play professionally abroad. In addition, Adewusi served as the Africa Director for ScoutUs Pro, a U.S.-based talent evaluation platform that bridges the gap between aspiring athletes and international recruiters. Further cementing his legacy, Adewusi served as the Technical Director of WBSC Africa (World Baseball Softball Confederation Africa), where he contributed to strategic planning, technical development, and the overall promotion of baseball and softball across the continent. Locally, he played a key administrative role as Vice Chairman of the Kwara State Baseball and Softball Association, actively promoting grassroots programs and state-level competitions. Through his multifaceted career as a player, coach, administrator, and international representative, Adeyinka Adewusi has remained a pillar of inspiration in Nigerian and African baseball. His vision, leadership, and lifelong dedication continue to shape the future of the sport, making him one of the most influential and accomplished ambassadors of baseball in Africa.
Kayode Adigun
Chief Admin Officer
KAYODE ADIGUN is a distinguished administrator and former handball athlete with a rich history in the sport. His journey began in 1984 when he first stepped onto the handball court as a young athlete, passionately competing in schools and representing national under-age categories. Through his dedication, perseverance, and hard work, he steadily progressed through the ranks of handball, eventually reaching the senior level. Throughout his playing career, Kayode exhibited exceptional skill and tenacity, earning the respect of his peers and coaches alike. His commitment to the sport extended beyond the playing field; after he hung up his jersey, he sought to continue his involvement in handball through officiating. To achieve this, he enrolled in a referee training course, successfully completing it and earning his credentials. He then became a certified handball referee with the Handball Federation of Nigeria. Kayode's multifaceted background in both playing and officiating has equipped him with a unique perspective on the sport, enabling him to contribute significantly to the development of handball in Nigeria. His journey reflects not only personal achievement but also a commitment to fostering the next generation of athletes and enhancing the overall landscape of handball in the country.
Olajide Olayinka Abidoye
Director of Baseball and Softball
Jide Olayinka Abidoye is a seasoned and highly respected baseball coach, recognized as one of the true pioneers of baseball development in Nigeria. With a career spanning over three decades, he remains deeply committed to grassroots baseball, nurturing young talents and contributing immensely to the sport's growth across the country. Coach Abidoye's coaching journey is marked by several landmark achievements. In 1991, he led the Nigerian Under-23 team to Ontario, Canada, showcasing the nation’s emerging baseball potential on the international stage. He later guided Team Nigeria to its historic silver medal victory at the 1999 All-Africa Games, where Nigeria triumphed over Zimbabwe for the first time in the tournament's history. Building on that success, he once again steered the national team to another silver medal finish at the 2003 All-Africa Games, coming just behind South Africa. A product of advanced baseball coaching programs in both the United States and Cuba, Coach Abidoye is among the few Nigerian coaches with such extensive international training and certification. His technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to player development have set a high standard for baseball coaching in Nigeria. In 1990, he founded the Sliders Baseball Club, a team that went on to dominate Nigerian baseball for more than three decades. From 1991 to 2021, the Sliders consistently stood out as one of the most successful clubs in the country, winning numerous national titles and producing more than half of the players who have represented Nigeria on the national team.
Kehinde Omolara Oyelade

Kehinde Omolara Oyelade is a dedicated, detail-oriented Secretary with over six years of experience supporting executive teams and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Renowned for her strong organizational abilities, she excels in schedule management, correspondence handling, report preparation, and maintaining effective office systems. In her current role at Honours Sports International Foundation, she plays a vital role in coordinating meetings, managing confidential documents, and enhancing administrative processes. Kehinde is proficient in various office software tools and is known for her professionalism, discretion, and efficiency in fast-paced work environments. She holds a Degree in Computer Science from Kwara State Polytechnic.
Yusuf Omowuni Iyabo
Manager Softball
Yusuf Omowuni Iyabo A former softball player for Kwara State and the national team, Yusuf Omowuni Iyabo began her career in 1994 as a left-handed pitcher. She competed in various local and international tournaments, achieving notable success, including a gold medal with the Kwara State team at the 2004 Abuja National Sports Festival and a silver medal at the 2006 Gateway Games. Currently, she works as a softball coach with Honours Sports International Foundation, where she is dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering the growth of the sport.
